Hula dancers wear grass or leaf skirts, tops, necklaces and "leis," or wreaths of flowers strung together. The dance tells stories set to the music of a ukelele about the creation of the Hawaiian islands and all the nature that thrives there. A hula is danced during times of celebration and usually accompanied by flame throwing and large feasts. Aloha!
