There are only two issues I have. 1. My kids (ages 7, 9, and 11) would love to be able to do more chatting. It kills them to want to say or ask something that's not already programmed into the chat option. 2. I can't figure out how to start my own thread or topic here in the parent's forum! I noticed that a lot of other parents have had this same issue. Any help would be appreciated. My kids and I really love handiland. There are only two issues I have.

I have two girls - ages 10 & 11. Both have gone nuts trying to do more chores to get more points. We actually have company coming this weekend so I made yesterday "double points day" where I awarded every chore with double handipoints and they actually argued over who got to do the most chores so they could earn the most points. I give them a choice between earning money and earning rewards and it's been so satisfying watching them actually want to work hard to earn things. Just had to share. Thanks again!!! We actually just cash them in and I take them to the store or the movies and have them pay after we take it off of the savings goal plan. It will walk you right through. They have always bucked me on doing chores and I just couldn't find anything that would make them WANT to cooperate. I set up their lists while they were sleeping and showed it to them this morning. After some comprimising and tweaking of the charts, I now have 2 kids who are willing to work on their chores!! I even set up the savings goals for them and they were thrilled! This site is a god-send for moms like me who are trying to teach their kids responsibilites and still stay the "cool" and not "slave-driver" mom!
