Heh, I just happen to be in the process of working on a passport for my daughter, so we can visit Canadian relatives next year. Since there's just one of her, it looks easy compared to what I have to do to get MINE though!

I'm a permanent resident alien, so first I had to renew my green card (which, though it had no date, I guess secretly expired decades ago - oops). Then, assuming I ever get that, even though I already have three different versions of my birth certificate, I have to apply for a NEW one, as I was born in Quebec - and they want my ORIGINAL green card, marriage license, etc., no copies. Wanna bet they lose everything? THEN I can finally apply for a Canadian passport, which is about twice as long as the US application.

Sorry, didn't mean to rant. :-o
