  1. Hi Chris,

This started on this thread: http://www.handipoints.com/mommypoints/?p=86

I tried removing the Complete and Graded task from the task chart like you said but when I re-add it, it’s updated as completed and graded. Perhaps this is a bug?

  2. Hi there!

I’m just wondering if anyone else has noticed that the catalogue has the correct cover for Winter but still has the Hallowe’en items to purchase inside? I’m not sure if it’s just us or not, but my daughter would like very much to take a look at the winter wares.

    Happy Holidays!

  3. Help! I don’t know if this is the right place, but every single time any of my children try to trade anything (on my computer), they get an “error, please try again” message. Why? This is really frustrating.

    Thanks.

  5. That’s funny. I had not said it twice when I got a notice saying I had. But, I sure have said it twice now. :)

    Sorry about that.

  6. Is there any way to remove certain rewards? Some things that are listed in the catalog for them to use their handipoints on are simply to expensive for us to purchase. This seems to make this tool ineffective for our family if they have been saving and then we can not get the reward.

  7. Hi Rick, there is not currently a way to do this but this is a great suggestion. What you can do is set the Handipoints to dollar ratio to be bit higher for your family. By default, 4 Handipoints equals 1 dollar. You can change this by logging into your parent account and clicking the Edit Account link under your name in the upper right hand corner.

  8. We approve the savings goals. My daughter went through originally and picked out about $1200 worth of WebKinz. UMMMM. nope. There are a lot of things to choose from that are not monetary, but could be an award for points–or at least task accomplished.

I set up a points acount, and a $ account for our daughter. Some tasks I wanted her to do for behavior purposes. Things on her morning routine, like getting dressed, brushing her teeth and packing her lunch are not worth an allowance, but are certainly good toward some TV time. We also have a savings account that we regularly transfer money to for big things (she is saving for a Wii. She is putting small amounts of money away at a time (and we are giving her small amounts at a time) so that she learns how to save for big things. For instance she gets $8/week for completing her chores and daily expectations, she can add to that by doing extra chores. The $8 goes right into the savings account, the extra is her spending money–one week she earned an extra $10 (OUCH). Usually her spending money is $2-$5
